The Youth Ministry of Friendly Hills Church exists to glorify God by assisting the parents of middle & high school students as they seek to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. As a ministry of Friendly Hills Church the Youth Ministry seeks to have Upward Face, Outward Face and Inward Face components. In other words, we desire to cooperate with parents in training their children in the areas of worship, evangelism and discipleship. The goal of the youth ministry is to make Disciples of Christ.

Youth Ministry Staff:

The Youth Ministry Staff is overseen by the Youth Pastor, and is made up of adult volunteer leaders serving

 as Wednesday night Small Group Leaders, Sunday School Teachers, and Sunday Night Leaders.

Youth Ministry Programs:

Flowing out of our mission statement the following programs serve to fulfill our goals:

1. Sunday School: While including a fellowship aspect, the primary purpose of Sunday School is to teach the content and substance of the Scriptures.
2. Youth Group: Youth Group serves to provide a high energy, fun time of both fellowship and teaching. It is designed with both the church’s youth and the visiting, unchurched youth in mind, hence this program includes the element of outreach. We meet every Sunday from 6-8 p.m. here at the church.
3. Small Groups: These same aged, same sexed small groups are designed for intimate fellowship and discipleship. These take place on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30pm in conjunction with our church-wide Wednesday evening program.

What does a typical year look like?

You can expect several thing.  We take wonderful retreats for both Middle School (MS) and High School (HS).

We'll take a ski trip in the winter for both MS and HS, we'll have a HS summer mission trip and MS summer conference, we'll have a HS Labor Day beach retreat and we'll have a MS Fall Retreat.  We also do service projects to the neighborhood kids at the Glenn Haven Apartment complex.  We have a lot of fun!!!
