Women's Ministry

Women In the Church (WIC) Programs:

The WIC events at Friendly Hills Church provide something for everyone! We begin each year with a kick-off brunch with lots of fun fellowship and an overview of the year's programs. Each month we have a fellowship opportunity at the church, in one of our homes, or as an outreach project within our community. We also set aside several evenings during the year for a “ladies night out” - for dinner or a movie. A highlight of the year is the annual wreath making at Christmas. We all come together to create our own personal touch for the holiday season.

Several other annual events occur each spring including assembling college care packages for the college students in our church and celebrating our unique status as “daughters of the king” at a mother/daughter luncheon.

The overall purpose of our WIC programs is to glorify God! We also strive to create an atmosphere of love, grace, and fellowship. It is the prayer of our programs committee that we provide the opportunities where women can grow together in Christ as a covenant community, dedicated to serving Him and one another within the confines of our helper design.

Women’s Bible Study:

We have two studies weekly - a Sunday evening study from 5:15 - 7:15 and a Tuesday morning study starting at 9:30 and ending at 11:15.

Women’s Retreat:

The annual women’s retreat is the highlight of the year for our ladies! It is a special time of study, prayer, reflection, restoration, music, and fellowship. Each year, we plan a retreat centered around a particular theme and have all retreat events related to the theme.
Our programs committee meticulously and diligently seeks a qualified, reformed-minded speaker, approved by our male leadership, to speak at the retreat. We also incorporate small group discussion time to enhance our understanding of the subject matter and deepen our relationships with one another.
In addition, we play games, sing uplifting music, and fellowship together in the serene, removed environment from routine life. Some highlights of past retreats include: hilarious skits, midnight talks with munchies, enriching speakers, get-to-know-you games, and of course food, fun, and more food! We, here at Friendly Hills love to eat, but mostly we just crave the delicious fruit of growing in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
