Rev. Nathan Kline, Senior Pastor
Nathan has been at Friendly Hills Church since 2008. Prior to his ministry here, he served as senior pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Pardeeville, Wisconsin for nearly 17 years, and one year as associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Pardeeville. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies at John Brown University, and his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. While living in Illinois, he served as a youth pastor at Des Plaines Evangelical Free Church for three years, and was also a youth pastor for two years at Weddington Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Nathan says that he's "Presbyterian by Providence." In addition to his love of preaching, Nathan spends his free time writing and is a published poet. He also enjoyed the five years he served on the local school board in Wisconsin. He and his bride, Suzanne, have four children: Evan, Anna, Allison, and Alex.
Rev. James
Jessup, Pastor of Youth Ministry
James and his family came to Friendly Hills Church in 2005. Guilford County has always been home. He graduated from Southeast Guilford High School (1993); received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Greensboro College (1997); and his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte (2007)…but he commuted. He worked 7 years in the business world before pursuing full-time ministry. He and his wife Christy have adopted their children: Emily, Madison, Dakota and Cassie.
Christy Jessup, Children's Ministry
Christy has been working as the co-director of the children’s ministry since 2007. She is originally from Charlotte and has an Elementary Education Degree from Greensboro College (1997). She taught 10 years at Liberty Elementary in Randolph County prior to coming on staff at Friendly Hills Church. She and her husband James have adopted their children: Emily, Madison, Dakota and Cassie. Oh yeah…she is married to the Youth Pastor.

Karen Barefoot, Visitor/New Member Coordinator
Karen and her husband, Don have been members at FHC since 1998. They came to NC from the Midwest in 1997 and love the warmth of the south as well as the people at Friendly Hills Church. Karen and Don have a grown son, Brandon, who lives with his wife, Jennifer, in Dallas, TX. If you’re looking for Karen, chances are she’s at the front door welcoming new people into our church.

Jeff Miller, Associate Pastor
Jeff has been at Friendly Hills Church since 2000. Prior to pastoral
ministry he served ten years on staff with Young Life, a ministry to
high school students. Jeff graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1989 with
an undergraduate degree in Education. Jeff got his Master of Divinity
from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He and his wife
Holly have four children: Jackson, Lainey, Ben and Jeremiah.
Melissa Jardina , Children's Ministry

Donna Harms, Administrative Assistant
Donna has been at Friendly Hills since 2001. Before she came to
Friendly Hills she was an Office Manager for a Furniture Hardware
Company for 10 years and in 1994 moved to SE Asia with her family. She has two children, Nicole, and her husband Russell who live in
High Point, and Lauren who attends UNCG.

Petra Sveum , Accountant
Petra lives in High Point with her husband, Hal. Between them, they
have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. In addition to working as the
accountant for the church since 2007, she also owns a jewelry
business and designs and creates custom jewelry pieces. Her
undergraduate degree is from Concordia University in St. Paul,
Minnesota and her graduate degree is from UNCG.
